We're running a Nature Party at Moorbank Botanic Garden - come along and take part in a wide range of activities such as pond dipping, making bug hotels, creating amazing insects from recycled materials and many more. Drop in any time in the afternoon to have a go and take home some great nature freebies! Meet a wide range of our partners, and learn how you can do you bit to help the environment.
Moorbank Botanic Garden is located ¾mile from Newcastle Haymarket. It is at the top of Claremont Rd, just next to the Cat & Dog Shelter. We have a shared entrance with the Town Moor Superintendents Farm (black gate). It’s about 20 minutes walk up Claremont Rd from the main University campus. No parking is available in garden, but there is plenty of parking on Claremont Road just outside. Once parked, please use the black pedestrian gate and cross the yard to the glasshouses. It will be clearly signposted on the day.
