High street shoppers are being invited to take a break in Newcastle’s Eldon Square, put their feet up and watch digital stories made by people in the North East in the Culture Shop! cinema.
Culture Shock is one of the world’s largest storytelling projects and this unique space in the heart of Newcastle’s shopping centre is giving people the chance to sit back and enjoy the exciting array of stories that have been created so far.
The digital stories are short films created by people living in the North East and have been inspired by museums and galleries.
You’re also invited to stop by and share your stories. The Culture Shock team will be running one-day workshops throughout August offering people the opportunity to create their own story and have it added to museum archives. Anyone who has a story to tell, enjoys digital story telling or is inspired by museums and galleries can make a Culture Shock story of their own.
