The Friends of the Laing hold free talks on a different painting on show at the Laing every month. No booking required, meet in the Laing’s Marble Hall to take part. In July the talks will be all about Kitagawa Utamaro's prints, Women engaged in the Silk Industry which are on show in the current exhibition of Japanese art called Japanese Wave.
