Newcastle Shopmobility
Becoming a member of Newcastle Shopmobility gives greater choice, freedom and independence to people traveling around the City Centre to shop or to use any of the wide range of attractions available in Newcastle. Newcastle Shopmobility is based on the ground floor of Eldon Garden Shopping Centre. The Service promotes independence for people with mobility problems by providing a range of battery powered or manual scooters and wheelchairs.

Throughout the city, disability access is still a priority, Alive After Five. For instance, the Metro system has lifts in most stations and all the trains have room for wheelchairs and buggies.
